On 25th Dec, 2007 I was flying from Delhi to Mumbai through ‘Air Deccan‘ flight DN-666. After the initial check-in processes i was offered 15F as my seat.

Suddenly I noticed a strange thing inside the aircraft. There was no row ‘13′ in the flight, yes after row ‘12′ there was row ‘14′ directly and row ‘13′ was missing from the sequence. For a while I thought that there might be some human mistake. But later I asked myself “Why 13 ?”. During my whole journey I was wondering why there is no row’13′ nor I prefer to ask from any cabin crew.

As I reached Mumbai my curiosity was at it’s peak so I directly reach towards cabin crew and asked my doubt from one of the beautiful air-hostess standing near the door and the answer I got was again confusing one for me. She told me “Might be the aircraft make is in that manner, Sir” (with a pleasant smile).

But I was not agree with her answer because I am a regular air traveller and I had never noticed such thing nor I had ever heard such things from other people. That’s why I am still wondering that why there was no row ‘13′ in the flight.

Do we have superstitious people everywhere ?
